Terry Sawchuk was one of the greatest hockey players of all time. He was a four-time Stanley Cup champion and a three-time Vezina Trophy winner. He played in 17 All-Star games and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
But Sawchuk's life was also marked by tragedy. He struggled with alcoholism and depression. He was involved in a number of car accidents and was eventually killed in a car crash in 1970.
Night Work: The Sawchuk Poems is a collection of poems that explores the life and legacy of Terry Sawchuk. The poems are written from the perspective of Sawchuk himself, his family, friends, and teammates.
The poems are a tribute to Sawchuk's greatness as a hockey player, but they also explore the darker side of his life. The poems are honest and unflinching, and they offer a unique insight into the mind of one of the most complex and fascinating figures in hockey history.
