My dear friends,

I am writing to you today with a heavy heart. As you know, London is now in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic. The virus has already claimed the lives of many of our loved ones, and it is likely to claim many more in the weeks and months to come.

I know that this is a difficult time for all of us. We are all anxious about our health and the health of our loved ones. We are all worried about our jobs and our financial security. And we are all wondering what the future holds.

In the midst of all this uncertainty, I want to offer you some guidance and hope.

First, I want to remind you that we are not alone. God is with us, and he will never abandon us. In the midst of the storm, he is our refuge and our strength.

Second, I want to encourage you to reach out to others. Offer your help to those who are in need. Pray for those who are sick. Check in on your neighbors and make sure they are okay.

Third, I want to urge you to stay informed about the virus and how to protect yourself and others. Follow the advice of the public health authorities. Stay home if you are sick. Wash your hands frequently. And wear a mask when you are in public.

I know that this is a difficult time, but I believe that we will get through this together. We are a resilient community, and we have faced challenges before. With God's help, we will overcome this pandemic and emerge stronger than ever.

In the meantime, please know that I am praying for you. I am praying for your health and safety. I am praying for your loved ones. And I am praying for our city.

May God bless you and keep you safe.

Yours in Christ,

The Right Reverend Dr. Sarah Mullally,

Lord Bishop of London
