As Sarah grieves, she begins to withdraw from the world. She stops going to church, and she avoids her friends and family. She spends her days walking alone on the frozen tundra, lost in her own thoughts.
One night, as Sarah is walking home from the store, she sees a group of children playing on the ice. She watches them for a while, and she can't help but smile. The children are so full of life and joy, and they remind Sarah of the good times she had with John.
Suddenly, one of the children falls through the ice. The other children scream and run away, but Sarah doesn't hesitate. She runs to the edge of the hole and reaches down to help the child.
Sarah is able to pull the child to safety, and she is relieved to see that the child is unharmed. The child's parents thank Sarah for saving their child, and they invite her to their home for dinner.
Sarah accepts the invitation, and she is surprised to find that she enjoys spending time with the family. The parents are kind and welcoming, and the children are full of energy and laughter. Sarah begins to feel like she is finally starting to heal from her grief.
As the days turn into weeks, Sarah spends more and more time with the family. She helps out with the children, and she even starts to teach them how to skate. The family is grateful for Sarah's help, and they quickly come to see her as one of their own.
One night, as Sarah is skating on the ice with the children, she sees John. He is standing on the shore, and he is smiling at her. Sarah is overjoyed to see him, and she runs to him.
John takes Sarah in his arms, and he tells her how much he loves her. He tells her that he has been watching over her, and that he is proud of the woman she has become.
Sarah and John spend the rest of the night skating together. They talk and laugh, and they share their dreams for the future. Sarah knows that she will never forget this night, and she is grateful for the love that has brought her back to life.
